I'm Kevin from X Factor AI. We recently completed a pilot project I think will resonate with builders here — especially anyone working in healthcare, education, or any domain where trust is the product.

 We partnered with Angela, an ophthalmologist in Germany, who spent hours each week explaining the same procedures to patients — many of whom didn't speak German. Static translations and pamphlets weren't cutting it. Patients needed a face they could trust, not a PDF.

 Using the HeyGen Streaming Avatar SDK, we created a digital twin of Angela that speaks to patients in 15 languages before they arrive at the clinic. It answers real questions, adapts to emotional cues, and sends Angela a patient brief before each consultation.

 — 40% shorter consultations — 84% of patients felt comfortable before the appointment (vs 61% control) — No-show rates dropped — Doctors in the pilot said they started enjoying their mornings again

 The latency is what makes or breaks this use case. Most avatar tools feel like watching a video — there's a flatness the brain registers. HeyGen's streaming response crosses the threshold where it stops feeling like technology and starts feeling like a conversation. That's the difference between a demo and something patients actually trust.

We also found that the system prompt matters as much as the avatar itself. Generic clinical tone = polite but cold. Once we encoded Angela's actual explanatory style — her rhythm, her empathy-first approach — the trust scores jumped significantly.
