What are third-party voices?

Third-party voices are custom voices created in other platforms outside of HeyGen. Integrating them into HeyGen opens up a world of possibilities for enhancing your videos. How to import your third-party voice

First, click the ‘AI Voice’ tab in HeyGen.

Then, click on ‘Integrate 3rd party voice’ and select your desired service from the list of supported providers (e.g., ElevenLabs, LMNT, Play.ht, or Cartesia).

Next, enter the API key of the ElevenLabs voice you’d like to use and click ‘Confirm.’ Your voice will then be added to your library of voices.


How to use an imported voice

Using the voice you’ve imported is super easy.

All you have to do is click on the script you’ve created, find the voice you imported into your library, and select it.


Preview and adjust your imported voice

Hit the ‘Preview” button in the video editor to hear the voice in action.

To ensure your voice is best suited for the type of video you’re creating, you can change the emotion of the voice by selecting from the options provided. Give it another preview.
