What is Batch Mode

Batch Mode is a simplified video creation workflow designed for fast production of avatar-only videos. You choose the avatars, write one script, set your preferences, and HeyGen creates a separate video for each avatar.

There are no backgrounds, media elements, or scenes involved. Each video is a standalone clip of a talking avatar, making this the perfect tool for personalization, voice testing, internal comms, and multi-language content.

How to create a batch

From your HeyGen homepage, click on Batch Mode.

To begin, click Add Avatar and select the avatars you want to include. You can mix and match Studio, Photo, or Instant avatars in the same batch, including any custom avatars you’ve created , like digital twins or fully AI-generated characters.

Next, enter the script you want them all to say. This will apply to every avatar in that batch.

Want to create a second batch with a different script or different avatars? Just click the + icon to create a new row and repeat the process.

Customizing voice and format settings

Each avatar has a default voice, but you can customize it individually by clicking on the voice selector next to their name.

You can choose from:

Your personal voice library

A custom-designed voice

Built-in voice options by language and gender

Below the avatar list, choose your aspect ratio:

16:9 (widescreen)

9:16 (vertical)

Generating your videos

Once your avatars, script, voices, and format are ready, click Generate. HeyGen will begin creating a separate video for each avatar in your batch.

For example: If you selected 5 avatars and entered one script, you’ll get 5 individual videos, each one a unique avatar delivering the same message.

All your generated videos will be saved to your Projects page. Each batch is organized into its own folder, making it easy to find, preview, and download your videos.

Batch Mode videos are automatically grouped into a folder labeled with the batch name, making it easy to preview, download, or repurpose your clips.
