⚠️ BEWARE: HeyGen’s "Video Translation" Feature is EXTREMELY Misleading — Borderline Deceptive MarketingI’ve been using HeyGen for a while and was genuinely impressed with their AI avatars and translation capabilities, so I specifically upgraded to their paid plan to use the Video Translation feature.On their pricing page and marketing materials, they repeatedly emphasize that "each video can be up to 30 minutes long." That’s exactly what I needed for processing longer YouTube and content videos — perfect for my use case.But here’s the critical detail they deliberately hide and NEVER clearly disclose upfront:The Video Translation feature has a strict monthly cap — 

a total of ONLY 120 minutes of combined translation time across all videos per month

 (it’s not unlimited, and the quota resets monthly).Once you use up those 120 monthly minutes, you’re forced to buy extremely overpriced "credits" (essentially pay-to-use points) to translate anything else. It’s hard to believe, but translating just a few more hours could cost hundreds of dollars.I honestly thought "each video up to 30 minutes" meant I could translate as many videos as I wanted each month, as long as each individual video was under 30 minutes. Any reasonable person would assume that, right? Yet there’s ZERO prominent warning stating: "Video Translation: 120 minutes of total monthly usage — extra fees apply beyond this limit."Instead of clearly explaining their "credit system" (like some other tools do), HeyGen buries this restriction in fine print. You only discover the truth after burning through your monthly allocated minutes and hitting a wall.This feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch: lure creators in with the promise of "nearly unlimited use," then hit you with a paywall the moment you start relying on the tool.HeyGen, if you’re reading this:Put a bold, large-font warning on your pricing page that says: "Video Translation: 120 minutes of total monthly usage included — pay-per-minute for additional time." Stop hiding it. This kind of opaque practice is exactly why people lose trust in AI companies.I’m incredibly disappointed. I was ready to make HeyGen my go-to tool, but this has completely eroded all trust.Has anyone else been burned by this?
