Hello. Our team is mainly using Heygen's “translate video” feature for AI dubbing purposes. We don't use the actual “translate” feature as we already have our translated subtitles prepared, and wish to upload those instead.

However, the "upload scripts > upload translation/original srt" function is broken. Any attempts to upload a subtitle file fails, even when they have exact same timecodes as the original subtitles (on Heygen). 

Uploading the translated subtitles as transcriptions instead

→ This leads to the translated subtitles being adjusted by Heygen, which we don't want. Again, this is undesirable.

2. Uploading a custom-made Translation Excel using “upload scripts > upload translation excel”. 

→ While this works, this is a very time-consuming and unefficient workaround.

Despite saving, the app will often forget the assigned voice to a track, returning to its default “Track X: Voice X”, and must be reassigned again. This is especially frustrating when finding that the changes have not been reflected to our generated video.

More often than not, the original, source audio can be heard underneath the AI dubbed voices; This problem gets progressively worse throughout the video.

Fix: Enabled “Remove Background Sound” before generating video solved most issues
