Right now, when you create a video with an English-speaking avatar, the subtitles are automatically generated in English. There is no option to display subtitles in a different language (e.g., Korean, Japanese, Spanish) within the platform.

To work around this, users currently have to:

3. Manually translate it using an external tool

4. Re-import the translated subtitles in a separate video editor

This is a time-consuming multi-step process that breaks the workflow entirely.

Add a simple language selector in the subtitle/caption settings that allows users to choose a target language for subtitles, independently from the avatar's audio language.

Even a basic auto-translation option — similar to YouTube's auto-translate caption feature — would be a massive improvement.

• Creators in non-English-speaking countries who use English avatars for a global feel but need local language subtitles for their audience

• Educators and businesses producing multilingual training content

• Anyone creating content for international audiences

This feature would eliminate the need for external editing tools, save significant time, and make HeyGen a much more powerful all-in-one solution for international content creators.
