I have been testing out heygen for a couple of months now, especially the API through which I created some videos to check the results and also the cost.

Back then I remember even checking the price of API for Avatar III and confirming it through actual usage. I still have the screenshot of the usage showing that for a video of around 30 seconds I got charged around $0.10.

Today, I put around $30 funds and run my code again to create a few more and based on my calculations, it was supposed to get done and I would be left with around at least half of the funds I put in.

To my (bad) surprise, I only get a fraction of the work done before all my funds run out, I tried to check the usage in the interface but it is not shown like before and even when I try to download the csv file, the download button is greyed out and a side message claim that there is no data to show (while the interface graph clearly shows all my money used up)

I check the documentation and to my surprise again, the api price is now $1 per minute for Avatar III from API usage. That is just ridiculous. The article in the homepage discussing the price has also been updated recently, there is no annoucement anywhere about price changing, and my activity log even for last month is not shown (but the graph still proves that the price just spiked).

According to my estimation, the price went up by 4 or 5 times. I am seriously mad right now because what would have costed less than $25 would now cost around $110 to make with API. 

I have seen posts and warning from people accusing Heygen of scamming people, and now I am starting to feel why. I really hope this is just a mistake or a bad decision that would be rolled back soon.

Did API pricing change suddenly? 😡
