Does anybody know the trick to get PPTX import properly into a project?

I have created amazing videos with the use of importing PPTX and animated the elements in the new HeyGen AI Studio but for the past few months every time I import any slides, the elements are all way out of alignment and the text boxes are off the screen.

I've created a simple slide in PowerPoint with two text boxes (using Inter) to try and figure out what's going on.  The problem still persists.  When I adjust the size of the textbox in PowerPoint slightly, then save the file and re-import, it appears to work… but that's not a solution, it's a hack.

The hack made me think that the textboxes needed to be a fixed-width and height, so I attempted another slide and just changed the textbox properties to fixed instead of auto, but that brought me back to square one.

There must be a trick or something I'm overthinking, and I would love any tips!  

Support's default response is to send me to the article describing how easy it is to import a PPT into the editor, and if all else fails, to simply import the slides as static background images. 😒

The problem is… I know this used to work very well.  I have dozens of course videos that I've used this process with, and it was perfect… until a couple of months ago.
