I am an enthusiastic and long going Heygen creator.

I was investigating the possibility to use Avatar IV programmatically, and technically succeded in building a no code automation that makes good use of the specific endpoint.

No intent to be controversial or talk negatively, but as a matter of fact it turns out that a 1 minute video of Avatar IV created through API costs roughly 6$.

That means that, on a programmatical large use scale (intended to serve external user and / or to offer a video creation service), one hour of produced video costs 360 $ (automation costs and other api calls to build external voice, a minimum of data management to handle the call back etc. are costs on-top).

I was wondering: how realistic is that this model (which is amazingly useful) will be widespread used by the community to build up application and services? 360 $ / hour? An average-to-good professional videomaker would probably have a comparable cost.

Is this meant to drive users to ask for a specific API quotation and put down some 10k per year upfront?

Again, not meaning to be unpolite or overly critic, but I really can't find a reason while I shouldn't look for other less expensive alternatives (yes, probably 10-15% worse but 70% less expensive).
