Using Live Avatars within HeyGen
Why this matters
HeyGen's Live Avatar (formerly interactive avatar) brings a lifelike human presence to AI solutions—combining natural facial expression, lip sync, and body language to enable Realtime, 24/7 conversations that feel attentive and engaging.
With low-latency performance at scale, you can deliver spontaneous 1:1 interactions that help users get answers, explore products, and make decisions faster—on websites, in apps, and across campaigns.
What you’ll do
- Create one Live-Avatar backed by a simple Knowledge Base.
- Configure voice/tone settings.
- Test core user questions to ensure natural responses.
Steps
1. Go to the new live avatar page: https://app.liveavatar.com/
2. Create a new Live Avatar and follow the guided setup.
3. Choose a Knowledge Base:
- Stock (quick start), or
- Custom (add 5–10 Questions and answers the Live Avatar can say).
4. Note: Processing can take up to ~24 hours before the avatar is ready.
5. Configure voice and tone, then test a few representative questions.
