First, I want to congratulate the HeyGen team and everyone involved in this incredible project. The platform is innovative and impressive, and I truly admire the work you’ve done.

Now, I’d like to raise a question that I believe hasn’t been addressed yet. Portuguese, as a shared language among various nations, has significant differences between its variants, particularly European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

Brazilian Portuguese is spoken in a more open tone, whereas European Portuguese is more closed, often causing misunderstandings between speakers. A clear example is the word 

, which in Portugal means "young woman," but in Brazil, it is a highly offensive insult, closer to "bitch." Another example is the word 

, widely used in Portugal to express understanding, such as "I understood what you said." However, in Brazil, this word is rarely used, with terms like 

 being far more common for its 200 million speakers.

On the HeyGen platform, the lack of a clear distinction between Brazilian and European Portuguese can lead to errors in tone, style, and even meaning, ultimately affecting the quality of the final result.

 10 countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, Timor-Leste, and Macau [China]).

Brazilian Portuguese: 200 million speakers.

European Portuguese and other variants: around 50 million speakers.

Adding specific categories for "Brazilian Portuguese" and "European Portuguese," similar to the distinctions already made for English variants, would be a great improvement to better reflect the richness and diversity of the language.
