How to make the most of your HeyGen forum experience

I’ve been using the Heygen app since the early days—I’m not a new user, I’m one of the earliest and most loyal ones. I’ve seen the app grow from struggle to success, and I’m still here because I believe in it. That’s why I want to share some feedback I hope you’ll take seriously and respond to.

First of all, the app is good. I honestly think Heygen has the potential to be way more popular than it is now. And I believe it will reach that level where the feedback comes in so fast and from so many users around the world, you might not even be able to reply to everyone. But even now, when things are still growing, I hope you don’t overlook the value of feedback—especially from long-term users like me.

I’m writing here instead of emailing support@heygen.com because honestly, response times there seem slower than when feedback is left directly in the app. So here’s my topic:

Amharic language support needs attention.

Right now, Amharic (Ethiopia) is available in the “original language” option—but not in the “translation language” dropdown. I know Amharic used to be there for translation, because I saw it and used it before. I don’t know if it was removed intentionally or if it’s just a bug, but I want it back.

Also, the translations from Amharic to other languages are currently not accurate or clear. I’m not trying to complain—I’m giving you facts. The quality is not up to standard, and compared to platforms like Google (who now support Amharic very well in their AI tools), Heygen needs improvement here. The captions and audio translations don’t sound natural or correct.

Please work closely with native Amharic speakers, especially Ethiopian linguists or translators. If you need help, I’m also willing to support as someone who knows the language deeply and has experience with your platform from the start.

Again, I really love Heygen. This feedback comes from a place of wanting the app to grow. Please consider bringing Amharic back to the “translation language” list and improving the translation accuracy. 

I would really love your response to include some Amharic. Even if it’s not fully in Amharic, at least mix in a few words. I want to see if the developers actually know Amharic, or if they’re still with us Amharic speakers. It would mean a lot to me to see my language reflected in your response, just like how you sometimes reply to other users in their languages. That kind of effort shows connection and respect.
