I am working on an interactive avatar system and want to implement functionality similar to function calling capabilities that HeyGens first avatar offer.

Specifically, I'd like my avatar to be able to make external API calls based on user questions and incorporate that data into its responses.

For example, if a user asks: "Where is the nearest coffee shop?", I want the avatar to:

Return Location information along with link of Interactive Map

Does this type of dynamic integration of API works with interactive Avatar, and if yes how?

While checking the possible solution, I found OpenAI integration documentation in HeyGen's docs:

However, I am not sure whether this approach of integration will work with their latest feature of Interactive Avatar.

Insights especially from persons that may have tried to apply such functionality on an avatar project would be of importance. Thanks in advance for the guidance!
