Community Spotlights: Videos of the Month (March 2025)
Happy March, creators! We're celebrating the incredible ways AI video is transforming how we create, share, and connect.
This month we're excited to spotlight an AI UGC ad, a short film, and avatar educational videos. Plus, examples of how you can use HeyGen's photo and AI-generated avatars to be a unique spokesperson with examples of a historical figure narrating history and bringing a dream to life. Check out this month's creative videos from our talented HeyGen community!

Want to submit your videos to be featured?

It's easy! Give us a quick breakdown of the tools and features used (HeyGen and beyond) by creating a new topic in this forum post or by sending privately in this submission form.

Ecomplicato Ad I Andy Willers, Co-Founder at Favoured

Summary: For a newer client like EComplicato, we needed to launch quickly, and we knew UGC had to be a core part of our performance creative strategy. But finding and briefing content creators, especially for a sensitive topic like counseling, can be a long process. Instead of waiting, we used HeyGen to generate a video in just a few hours, allowing us to test different hooks and messaging strategies right away. To make it feel more authentic, we added AI-generated B-roll, visually anchoring the creator in the story. This approach not only sped up production but also made the ad more immersive and engaging.
Tools used: HeyGen, Ideogram, Kling, and Runway

Lost and Redeemed - AI Short Film I Erik

Summary: Finally had a chance to make something fully narrative, story-driven and longer too. Basically the goal was to create something that would look and feel like a real film - and while AI still can’t replicate real filmmaking it sure helps us in content creation.
Tools used: Made using HeyGen, Kling, LTX studio and 11labs. Post-production in Davinci.

Discover the Future of Digital Personalities! | Sergey Pimenov, Content Fabric

Summary: When creating the videos, the HeyGen neural network was used for generating avatars and voiceovers. The details and design of the videos were generated in Flux, then retouched in Photoshop and brought to life in Luma Ray2. Compositing was done in After Effects, and the final video was assembled in Premiere. The music for the videos was generated using the Suno neural network.
Tools used: HeyGen Hyper-Realistic Avatar, HeyGen AI-generated Avatars, Flux, Photoshop, Luma Ray2, After Effects, Premier, Suno

How To Light Your HeyGen Avatar | Ross Hayduk

Summary: This is a short video I created for a video production class in my Instructional Design program at CSU - Monterey Bay. The students in the class were learning how to light human beings for YouTube videos. I lit my human beings for video capture to create my HeyGen avatars, so I thought this would be helpful for others!
Tools used: HeyGen Public Avatars and HeyGen Hyper-Realistic Avatars

Cub Scout Ayden | John Carter III, 3rd JC Enterprises, LLC

Summary: Ayden was created with 2 images prompts within ChatGPT version of Dall-E and a script generated in ChatGPT formatted to be similar to a chat that might come from an 8-year-old boy. and He was animated using HeyGen and his came from a voice of a little girl in HeyGen whose tone and pitch were adjusted to sound more like a little boy.
Tools used: HeyGen Photo Avatar, Dall-E, ChatGPT

Black History Month featuring Layle Lane | Thomas Brunt, TebWeb Innovations

Summary: For my local Historical Society. Animated a single photo with HeyGen, which also created the voice. Colorized finished video using Hit Paw's Vik Pea software. Edited using FCPX.
Tools used: HeyGen Photo Avatar, Final Cut Pro, HitPaw

I Am Awake | Steve Mudd, Talentless AI

Summary: I went down a rabbit hole with my AI photo avatar, creating a few interesting noir looks. The AI had some fun hallucinations that doubled my image, so I leaned into that. I created some music in Stable Audio and some clips in Luma, and brought it all back to HeyGen to edit. Loosely inspired by David Lynch.
Tools used: HeyGen, Luma, Stable Audio
