# Templates
Design beautiful and scalable HeyGen templates
Start by familiarizing yourself with HeyGen’s stock template offerings.
Next, review this resource on how to implement templates in HeyGen.
As a HeyGen Video Editing Expert, you may be asked to create custom templates for new HeyGen customers. While customers’ needs for templates may vary, most will have the following:
- Professional Layout: clean and visually appealing designs that align with the brand's identity
- Customizable Branding: brand colors, fonts, and logos or placeholders for logos
- Dynamic Elements: simple animations, transitions, or interactive elements that capture attention without overwhelming the viewer
- Segmentation: distinct sections and layouts for different uses and assets
When creating a custom template, keep the following specs in mind:
- Landscape dimensions: 16:9 - 1920x1080
- Vertical dimensions: 9:16 - 1080x1920
- Accepted filetypes:
- JPG, PNG, SVG up to 200MB
- MP4, MOV up to 200MB
- TTF, OTF up to 100MB
Create two HeyGen templates for the two following use cases. Once complete, upload both files below.
#1: a McDonald’s menu offering of your choice
- Orientation: vertical, for social media
- Video type: branded social media ad that will include
- Design notes: review brand guidelines here, download McDonald’s logos here and download images of products here
- Text considerations: none
- Assets to be included: combination of Golden Arches Logo and wordmark, menu item
- Accessibility considerations: leave space in the bottom footer for captions
#2: internal security training video for HeyGen employees
- Orientation: landscape
- Video type: internal training
- Design notes: download logos, fonts, colors and review brand guidelines here
- Text considerations: none
- Assets to be included: HeyGen logo
- Accessibility considerations: none
