So, what are Motion Avatars?

Unlike traditional avatars, Motion Avatars can walk and move, rather than sit or stand in one place. They’re perfect for any content that needs a bit of extra flair.

Accessing HeyGen Motion Avatars

To start, log in to your HeyGen account and head over to ‘Avatars’.

From here, you can either access a Motion Avatar that you have created previously or create a new one. Let’s go ahead and create a new ‘Motion Avatar.”

Creating and customizing Motion Avatars

Click on ‘Create Avatar’ and listen to the intro video.

When you’re ready to move on, click ‘Get Started.’

Next, click on ‘Motion Avatar’ and you’ll be taken to a set of instructions that you can either watch via video or read.

After you review the instructions, click ‘Next Step.’

Then, you’ll be asked to upload high-res video footage of yourself. Your Avatar will be based on the footage you upload, so make sure your footage is moving the way that you want your Avatar to move! For example, if you want your Avatar to be walking, your footage should show you walking.

It’s best if it’s about two minutes long. You'll also see a checklist before you submit your video.
