Using Product Placement within HeyGen

Why this matters

Product placement lets you showcase an item or service inside an avatar-led video without breaking flow or trust. Done well, it feels like a natural demonstration rather than an interruption, giving viewers context (size, use, benefits) while keeping attention on the message. For agencies, this is a repeatable way to produce sales and explainer content fast swap the product asset, keep the script structure, and publish variations for different channels or audiences.

What you’ll do

- Create a short avatar video that naturally features a product on screen. - Ensure the product remains visible and readable during key talking points. - Export and submit a share link.

Steps

1. In HeyGen, go to Apps → All Apps → Product Placement. 2. Prepare image(s) of the product and a photo you will use for your avatar. - If you don’t have a photo for an avatar, use one of the sample photos. 3. Pick a product 1. Examples: 1. Water bottle 2. Backpack 3. Phone case 4. Sunglasses 5. Camera 4. Render the video in Product Placement. 5. Copy the HeyGen Share link.

Submission

- From HeyGen, copy the Share link to your product placement video and submit that link.

Assessment

- Natural integration — product appears in video with avatar explaining it. - Message clarity — viewers understand what the product is and why it matters - Visual polish — stable placement, readable labels, clean framing
