Accessing Interactive Avatars

To get started, you’ll need to have a Team or Enterprise subscription.

Once you do, you can navigate to HeyGen’s Labs by clicking on the ‘Labs” tab in the left Nav. Then, click ‘Interactive Avatars.”

Creating a new Interactive Avatar

Next, click on the ‘New Avatar’ button in the upper right corner.

You’ll then be provided instructions to read or listen to. Please review the instructions carefully before proceeding.

Tips for success

To create your HeyGen Interactive Avatar footage, follow these steps closely to ensure quality and natural flow.

For optimal, most realistic results, we recommend recording a continuous 2-minute video recorded with clear voice capture. Please make sure to include segments in the order below:

1. 15-second listening state: imagine you are listening to the camera as if it is talking to you.

2. 90-second talking state: talk to the camera about anything, like having a conversation with it.

3. 15-second idling state: just look at the camera, smile, and breath.

Upload or record your video footage

After reviewing the instructions, you’ll be prompted to upload video footage of yourself or record footage of yourself via your webcam.

Make sure that the footage you upload or shoot via your Webcam doesn’t include pauses or excessive head, body, or hand movements.

Also, shoot your video in a spot without background noise or music, and make sure there aren’t shadows on your face.

Avoid hand gestures above your chest or pointing gestures.

Submit your footage

Once you’re ready, you can submit your footage.

After you’ve submitted your footage, it will take about 24 hours for your Interactive Avatar to be ready.

When it’s completed, you’ll find it waiting for you in your Avatar Library.

How to access and use your new Interactive Avatar

Once your Interactive Avatar is ready for use, you can head to ‘Labs,” and you’ll find it there.

Next, you can integrate your Avatar into Zoom meetings, share it on a dedicated webpage, or embed it directly into a website. This versatility allows you to use your Avatar in a wide range of settings.
